Luggage Storage Melbourne Airports
Melbourne Airports. Where are they and how do you get there?
Like most big cities, Melbourne has more than one airport.
Melbourne Airport – (MEL) is Melbourne’s largest airport. It is also known as Tullamarine Airport (or if you want to sound like a local just “Tulla”, but not “The Tulla” as this is the freeway that gets you to the airport).
Avalon Airport – (AVV) is closer to Geelong, but serves as Melbourne’s second airport
Essendon Fields Airport – (MEB) was previously known as just Essendon Airport
Moorabbin Airport – (MBW) is the smallest airport and is located in the south eastern suburbs
Like at nearly every airport, locker facilities are available in Melbourne. All of the airports offer storage lockers. But what if you are not at the airport or if you are, you don’t want to keep your baggage there?
That’s where we help.
More than a bag drop.
We pick up and deliver your luggage when and where you need it.
So when are the storage lockers the right option?
Travelling to Melbourne with all your luggage, but are catching a connecting flight interstate and will be there for a short time before you return to Melbourne? The the airport lockers are perfect for you; however if the flight is not on the same ticket, you could face excessive check in fees.
So when are BagBoyz® the right option?
Have you have come to Melbourne and have stayed in Melbourne, but are travelling interstate during your holiday and will be returning to Melbourne again, think about doing this light? Say with just your backpack (or carry on) and camera. We will pick up your bags from where you are staying in Melbourne, store them in our remote storage facility (headed by Baggage the Elephant) and return them back to you at your next hotel. This is Hands Free Travel.
Are you leaving to go back home from Melbourne’s airports? Want to enjoy your last day with ease – think shopping, selfies and coffee, then BagBoyz® are the experts in delivering you Hands Free Travel. We will collect your bags from the hotel, store them and deliver them to you personally at the airport upon your departure. It’s the only way.
SkyBus is a great way to get to and from the airport; however their main route is Southern Cross Station to Melbourne Airport and Melbourne Airport to Southern Cross Station.
They do have other routes, but your freedom to do what you want, where you want is limited, especially if you have your bags.
Getting to the Airports
There are several airport bus services that connect the suburbs and regional centres to both Melbourne and Avalon airports; however not all bus services accept your Myki and you may need to buy a separate ticket to travel.
Melbourne Airport provides customers with an undercover bus interchange located at domestic Terminal Four (T4). The T4 bus interchange provides direct access to Tiger Airways, Jetstar and Regional Express services. All other airlines depart from T1, T2 and T3.
The T4 bus interchange is approximately a 10 minute walk from T1, so allow enough time to access T1, T2 and T3.
